Colpro's marine projects and capabilities are focused on fabrication and supply of:

Increasingly exhaust silencers and exhaust systems are being asked to provide higher performance while also fitting into smaller or unorthodox spaces. Colpro Engineering achieves this through the use of 3D CAD design software and experience in the design of specialised exhaust silencers and exhaust systems.

The Rainmaker model water injectors are specially designed to cool the exhaust gasses faster than conventional injectors. This allows the injector to be installed closer to temperature sensitive exhaust components, like silicone hump hoses or valves.

Colpro manufacture Germanischer Lloyd type approved, single and multiply, metallic compensators in sizes between 50NB and 800NB.

Our major customers range from Defence Forces, Defence Contractors, Fast Ferries, Luxurious Super Yachts, Cruiseliners, Commercial Shipping and Boating.

Major Marine Involvements

These are examples of Colpro's  past involvements and capabilities:

Defence Force Marine Projects Colpro have supplied every new marine exhaust system for the Royal Australian Navy and Army for the last 15 years. This includes ANZAC frigates, mine hunter vessels, patrol boats, landing craft and bridge erection boats. Colpro is designing and will supply complete exhaust systems to suit the offshore patrol vessels and the inshore patrol vessels for the Protector project. On the ANZAC class frigates Colpro supplied the gas turbine intake and discharge silencers.
Colpro supplied the main engine exhaust silencers for the Armidale class Australian patrol boats. They worked closely with the shipyard to ensure noise levels were acceptable.
Australian amphibious watercraft. Colpro designed and supplied main engine exhaust systems.
Passenger Ferries Colpro have supplied main engine exhaust systems to suit a wide range of ferries and expedition vessels. Colpro have designed and supplied exhaust systems to suit 7,000kW diesel engines for 100m passenger ferries for shipyards Incat and Austal as well as other international shipyards. Colpro have designed and supplied exhaust systems to suit 500kW diesel engine exhaust systems for 20m passenger ferries. Incat. Colpro designed and supplied the main engine exhaust silencers.

Motor Yachts Colpro have designed and supplied marine exhaust systems to suit motor yacht applications. Our motor yacht exhaust systems often feature a high degree of technical innovation. Utility Vessels Colpro have designed and supplied marine exhaust systems to suit many other vessel types. These include tugs, fishing vessels, pilot boats and dredges. Port Otago tug. We designed and supplied main engine spark arresting silencers.
