Diesel particulate emissions are major contributors to smog over modern cities. Particulates have also proven to be associated with a range of health effects from exacerbation of asthma, bronchitis and pneumonia symptoms to retarded lung development. Colpro-Kat purifiers will reduce or eliminate particulate emissions. Retrofit of Colpro-Kat solutions are a viable and cost effective solution. Inhalation of Carbon Monoxide emissions from diesel engines can be fatally dangerous in tunnels, enclosed spaces or places with poor ventilation. Carbon Monoxide is odourless and colourless. This means that CO Concentration levels can increase to dangerous levels without detection. Colpro-Kat purifiers reduce/eliminate the emission levels of CO for diesel, bio-diesel or natural gas engines.

Colpro-Kat purifiers are typically constructed using a coated substrate and a stainless steel housing.
The coated substrate is provided by BASF. BASF is world renown for it’s emission control products. They provide a consistent high quality product. Colpro Engineering fabricate the housings using high grade stainless steel. In the case of ceramic substrates the housing design accommodates the different rates of thermal expansion, to eliminate failures due to thermal stress. Colpro-Kat products can be incorporated into different designs or mufflers as required.
All Colpro-Kat purifiers remove dangerous and offensive gasses from the exhaust. More specifically they all remove carbon dioxide and hydrocarbon emissions. However Colpro can offer a more tailored exhaust purifier for any application.
CK-DVC Diesel Oxidising Catalyst
Specifically designed for use in indoor, underground or other limited
ventilation situations. The main function of the CK-DVC catalysts is to
eliminate dangerous and harmful emissions. They feature a very durable
metallic substrate to minimise the warm-up time. This ensures the
catalyst is operating as soon as possible after startup. CK-DVC
catalysts are small units that can easily be retrofitted into any
exhaust system.

CCX
Diesel Oxidising Catalyst
Specifically designed for on road use. CCX catalysts also eliminate
dangerous and harmful gases. In addition they provide a cost effective
solution for soot reduction. CCX catalysts filter up to 30% of the
particulate matter. They use a ceramic substrate that retains heat, to
cope with stop/start conditions. CCX catalysts are commonly supplied
fitted internally into silencers designed to fit a wide range of
vehicles from street sweepers to high horsepower prime movers.

PFX Partial Soot Filter
New generation catalytic Purifier Solution, PFX catalysts take advantage
of ultra low sulphur content diesel available now in Australia and other
countries. They incorporate a unique substrate design coupled to a high
performance catalyst coating to provide up to 60% particulate reduction.
They also remove carbon dioxide and hydrocarbon emissions. PFX catalyst
purifiers can be retrofitted to any on road vehicles that use Australian
on road diesel, or diesel with sulphur content less than 50ppm.
DPX Soot Filter
Regenerating catalytic soot filter that will remove 99% of the total
particulate matter or soot. Carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon emissions
will be reduced by up to 80%. Where soot emissions from diesel engines
are unacceptable a Colpro-Kat DPX soot filter is the solution. Can be
used on most higher sulphur content fuels including many marine diesels.
Requires a high temperature exhaust to maximise the servicing interval.
DPX MAX Soot Filter
Low temperature regenerating catalytic soot filter that will remove 99%
of the total particulate matter or soot. Carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon
emissions will be reduced by up to 90%. Where soot emissions from diesel
engines are unacceptable a Colpro-Kat DPX MAX soot filter is the
solution. Suitable for cooler exhaust temperatures. Must use diesel fuel
with 50ppm sulphur content or better, as found in Australian on-road
diesel.
GEX CNG Oxidising Catalyst
Specifically designed for on road use. GEX remove dangerous and harmful
gases. CCX catalysts filter up to 30% of the particulate matter. They
use a ceramic substrate that retains heat, to cope with stop/start
conditions. Suitable for use with vehicles powered by compressed natural
gas.
GEN Diesel Oxidising Catalyst
Specifically designed for use with large diesel engines rated higher
than 700kW. The main function of the GEN catalysts is to eliminate
dangerous and harmful emissions. They feature a very durable metallic
substrate to minimise the warm-up time.
